Reviews and Ratings
My stay at the hotel was truly relaxing and enjoyable. The rooms were peaceful and quiet, featuring an open fire and a luxurious claw foot bath that was perfect after a long day of exploring. The hotel annexe was spacious, well equipped with coffee/tea making facilities, dressing gowns, and premium locally made toiletries, although the ancient plumbing led to a temperamental shower. The service was top-notch, with friendly and helpful staff who assisted me in planning my trips and served some of the best meals I've had recently. The location in a quaint village offered beautiful walks and easy access to stunning natural surroundings. The dining experience was delightful, especially accommodating special dietary requests. Overall, a very pleasant stay with minor inconveniences here and there.
I found the hotel to be a perfect little hideaway for a couple of nights with our dog. The room was well-fitted with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. However, issues with the hot tap, wifi, noisy ensuite toilet macerator, and a broken bed knob were a bit disappointing. The service was incredibly friendly, making our stay memorable and special, but there were instances where our questions were not answered promptly. The location, overlooking the village road and garden, was charming despite some cold weather. The dining experience was amazing, with delicious breakfast options but lacking vegan choices. Overall, a great place for a cozy retreat.
My stay at the hotel was absolutely delightful! The rooms were beautifully decorated with a four-poster bed and antique furniture, and the bathroom was spacious with a luxurious claw-foot bath. Although the room was a bit small, it was spotless and tastefully furnished. The ales, wine, and food were exceptional, making for a cozy and comfortable experience.
